Profile & status

Your profile tells teammates who you are, and your status tells them what you're up to right now. Both are edited from your profile settings.

Your profile

Fill in as much or as little as you like:

• Name, title, and department
• Pronouns and name pronunciation
• Timezone and location
• Birthday and phone
• A profile photo

Teammates see these fields when they open your profile from a message or the people directory.

Presence

Presence shows whether you're reachable, and it's set automatically from your activity. The colour of the dot is the base signal:

• Online — you're active (a green dot).
• Away — you've gone idle; Sangria switches you to away for you (an amber dot).
• Offline — you're not connected (a grey dot).

The dot can also carry extra marks on top of that colour, so you can tell at a glance how reachable someone really is:

• A crescent — a bite out of the dot means the person is outside their working hours. They may still be active, but it's after-hours for them (from their availability settings).
• Headphones — they're currently in a huddle.
• A slash through the dot — they've paused notifications, so they may not see mentions or messages until they resume. See Notifications.

Custom status

Set a short status with an emoji — like a coffee cup for "back in 10" — and choose when it should auto-clear:

• 30 minutes
• 1 hour
• 4 hours
• Today
• This week
• Don't clear — it stays until you clear it yourself

Timezone

Your timezone is auto-detected when you sign in, and you can edit it in settings. Sangria uses it to:

• Show teammates your local time, so they know when it's a good time to reach you.
• Evaluate your notification quiet hours in your own time.
