Getting Started
Sign in, join a workspace, and find your way around Sangria.
Sangria is where your team talks. This page gets you signed in, into a workspace, and oriented — in a few minutes.
Sign in with the methods your workspace enables:
- Email + password — the default for most workspaces.
- OAuth providers — sign in with Google, GitHub, or another provider where your workspace has it configured.
Which options do I have?
The buttons you see on the sign-in screen are the ones your workspace turned on. If a provider you expect is missing, ask a workspace admin.
Join a workspace
You reach a workspace one of two ways:
- With a join code — enter the 6-character code someone shares with you.
- With an invite link — open the link and you'll be taken straight in.
When you join, you're automatically added to the workspace's default channel(s), so there's always somewhere to start. A personal space — a self-DM, or "notes to self" — is also ready for you to jot things down.
No code or link yet?
Ask a teammate to share the workspace's join code or an invite link with you. See Workspaces for how those are created and managed.
Get oriented
The left sidebar is home base:
- Channels — the shared spaces you belong to.
- Direct messages — your 1:1 and group conversations.
Above and around the sidebar you'll find:
- Activity — a feed of your notifications: mentions, replies, and reactions.
- Search — jump to any message, channel, or person across the workspace.
- Huddles — start a quick voice or video call in any channel or DM.
