A huddle is a quick voice/video call for when a conversation is faster out loud. Start one right where you're already talking — no scheduling, no links to share.
Start a huddle
- In a channel or DM — start a huddle from the header to open it up to everyone there.
- From a profile — start a huddle from someone's profile for a quick 1:1.
Anyone who can access the channel or DM can join an active huddle.
Invite people in
You can invite specific people into an active huddle, even if they're not in that channel. This is handy for pulling in a colleague for a moment without adding them to the whole channel.
During a call
While you're in a huddle you can:
- Switch your camera and microphone.
- Share your screen.
End-to-end encryption
Huddles can be end-to-end encrypted.
After a huddle
When a huddle ends, a message notes who took part. Recent huddles are listed too, so you can see what you missed and who was on the call.
One huddle at a time
A channel or DM has at most one active huddle at a time. If a huddle is already running there, you'll join it rather than start a new one.
